Can you work with the furniture I already own?
Yes, and it's usually where Georgie starts. Chairs and sofas can be reupholstered, older pieces re-covered in new fabric, and the things you love layered back in with cushions, curtains and lighting. You rarely need to start from scratch.
Is this the same as hiring an interior designer?
Think of it as interior decoration, in a traditional sense. Georgie thrives on bringing a room that already has good bones to life with fabrics, bespoke sourced pieces and styling. If a project does involve structural work, that can be arranged alongside trusted architects and designers as needed, with Georgie leading the design direction, decoration and finishing throughout so the project is considered fully.
How much should I budget?
There's no fixed price, it comes down to how many rooms and which pieces. As a sense of scale, the budget bands in the enquiry run from AED 5,000–15,000 up to 100,000+. You'll get a clear scope with real numbers at the free consultation, before you commit to anything.
Where do the fabrics come from, and can I use my own?
Georgie works with the very best fabric and trim houses worldwide, an exciting black book built through decades-long relationships: Pierre Frey, Colefax and Fowler, Schumacher, Kelly Wearstler, Soane, Christian Lacroix, Peter Dunham and Penny Morrison, with trimmings from Samuel & Sons, alongside Walter G, which GEORGES represents in the UAE. There is the wider GEORGES collection too.
How are custom pieces made and paid for?
Everything custom is made to order. Nothing is ordered until you've signed off the scope, fabrics and finishes, and the full cost (including any deposit) is agreed with you first. You'll also get a realistic timeline as part of that scope.
Do you source antiques or vintage pieces?
Yes. Alongside custom-made pieces, Georgie sources genuine antique and vintage finds and brings them into your scheme where they add character, something most decoration services in Dubai don't offer. And we source new furniture too, of course.
