Legendary designer Billy Baldwin decorated homes for Jackie O and Bunny Mellon amongst many others, and had one non-negotiable rule: "Nothing, and I mean nothing, is interesting unless it is personal." He also believed collections should be displayed, not hidden away. Yes, Billy boy!

He was a master of high-low decorating: pairing serious pieces with the everyday and trusting the mix to do the talking. It's not a trend we've adopted, it's how we've always worked, in the homes we decorate and in what we choose to stock.

Enter into the GEORGES collection, a small, changing edit of one-of-a-kind pieces sourced directly from markets in France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, the UK and further afield. Furniture, original oils, vintage fabrics, framed prints, and small decorative objects, each bought because it earned its place, not because it filled a category.

We've done the early mornings and the broken French, so you don't have to. What's left for you is the fun part: a proper treasure hunt, good coffee in hand, minus the jetlag.

A well-chosen vintage piece, patina and all, does more for a shelf or a table than most new collections combined. It gives a space a sense of having existed before you got there. Every so often something genuinely antique finds its way into the mix, and those pieces we're especially precious about.
